About Sierra Judgment Recovery
Established in 1998, we’ve been forging the way for judgment enforcement professionals for more than 20 years providing training, support and member resources.
Originally based in South Lake Tahoe, California, we made the move to Saint Marys, Georgia in 2005. To meet the ever-increasing need in our industry for quality asset location services, in 2010 we launched SJR Strategic Research to offer competitive and accurate research alternatives to companies who’ve opted to outsource the skip tracing and asset location part of the enforcement process.
Today, we continue to thrive in our judgment recovery efforts and we’re constantly striving to implement new tools and resources that support the success of our members.

Christina Smiley
Christina has been a pioneer in the judgment recovery industry for more than two decades. After setting up shop as Sierra Judgment Recovery in South Lake Tahoe, CA, she led the way in professional industry training for both lay persons and professionals in related industries. Her range of experience in this field encompasses practical, hands-on enforcement of civil judgments; as well as consultation, training and support for both small start-up companies and larger companies seeking to scale-up their existing businesses.
In 1999, Christina was instrumental as a co-founder of the California Association of Judgment Professionals, and served on the Board of Directors as the Continuing Education Director for four years. She has been a featured speaker at many industry-related functions, as well as a panelist speaker with Richard L. Enkelis for the California State Sheriffs’ Association (Civil Division).
Christina has been featured in several magazine publications, including Entrepreneur, Home Business Connection, Cutting Edge and Simply Home.
Once upon a time I was just a simple mountain girl, raising three children and living paycheck-to-paycheck. At that time I worked in our local hospital’s finance department.
Looking for a better way, I dabbled in part-ownership of a carpet store, which didn’t result in much more than mounting debt and frustration – so I made the move to judgment recovery (which no one had ever really heard of in those days). The rest, as they say, is history.
My personal interests include fishing, motorcycle riding (yep), front porch sitting, riding the golf cart around town and the regular over-indulgence in fabulous Southern BBQ and other Coastal Georgia goodies.
